There are at least two ex manifold variants. Post with pics please. We can formalise the information onto a site later.

There are two variations of the Manifolds used on the fe3n in the Kia Sportage. I found this picture on a parts website. This appears to be a 4 into 1 header from the '95 to '98 model years. '98 through '02 use a cast iron manifold.

Awesome! I didn't know what they looked like or what variations there were. Good info! :-)

You say "this is the 4:1 from xyz year the other was cast" but both are 4 into one, and you supply pictures of one cast and one not. Care to clarify?

Thanks!

&es, sorry about the mix up. The tubular header style manifold without a catalytic bolted directly to it is from the '95-'97 Sportage. The '98-'02 Sportages have a cast iron manifold which has a catalytic bolted directly to it. I think the factory header could be used in for a turbo. I would like to find one these cheaper than the $212.00 price the parts website wanted for theirs ans see what it would take to make an adapter flange for the turbo.

If you do, make sure you plug the O2 hole and use one after the turbo, they do NOT work right under pressure.

Ok, thanks for the info. Does the 02 sensor work against the computer under boost since the fuel demand increases?

Sorry, my post was unclear, if you're using a wideband, it has to be post turbo, unsure about crappy narrowbands, but they're no use anyway. As for affecting fueling, that depends on the ECU etc.

Yes, I would be using a wideband in order to give the computer an accurate reading. Before I instal the turbo, I'll upgrade the computer to MS II.

There is another. The manifold from the F8-DOHC the 1.8liter variant. I will try to get a picture of it up tonight. It looks like a cross between the kia mani and the original FE-DOHC mani.
Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD. You know you want to hit it but your afraid of the consiquences.

Ok, I would like to know the different options since my cast iron manifold is cracked. I've read on Kia forum sites that its a common problem for the cast iron to crack. You would think it would be stronger than the tubular header design.
