Spent about 5 hours today working on lowering the crane and stabilising the engine stand, too. Got the brackets for the rear wheels welded on and bolted up. 70 or 80mm lower! Down from about 180mm at the under-car end to about 115mm once I'm done. Should clear the bottom of the ute OK like this. Going to order some steel tomorrow to finish the job tomorrow night. Maybe I can pull the block tomorrow night,or tuesday night.

Also added a stud for the handle to rest on when it's stowed. OEM setup simply didn't work at all.

Finished the crane lowering job last night! About one hour spent after a couple of glasses of wine. The engine crane is now in the weeds and ready to rumble! :-D

Today I went and bought some standard spark plugs, and ordered some BKR7EIX-11 iridiums for after the rough tune is done. An hour all up, including driving there and back.

No ute work tomorrow, and maybe for a few more days due to surgery and side effects thereof. Wish me luck.

Sunday some stuff got done:

Sorted out the hydraulic clutch setup, rebuilt slave, installed new hose, modified existing hard line, etc.
Dropped new engine into the hole and bolted it up to the gearbox and mounts!

Obtained a clutch master push rod and partially modified it. more to come. Call it 2 hours.
