TRS 323 (BF 323 4dr)

Postby Toyama Racing Spirit » Wed Sep 07, 2011 6:54 am

Greetings.

Over time I'll bring over some of the progress updates from other forums. In the meantime just a brief explination of the goals will be put forward to wet everyones appitite. I'm doing everything you shouldn't be doing to an FE DOHC, ripping out all of it's strong heavy turbo ready internals and swapping out with custom bits for NA use on circuit.

The goal is simple and achievable. 1998cc, 250PS peak, 9500rpm limit, 900kg shell (loaded mass). Stay tuned :ugeek:

Delightfully busy here :-)

Progress to date - the start:

Just before starting our portwork:

Block inspection (Ignore the sand in there. Sometimes malicious intent turns out to be the biggest laugh):

After our first stage of portwork, still a lot more to go:

When tearing down the block found this, awesome (the braces):

Rod casting information for those who care:

Just got the block back from dipping / cleaning:

Next steps custom rods and piston work.

PS: The image sizes are slightly bigger than what the forum limit is I would presume, not a train smash.
